Stewart Mac is getting ready to head out on his State of the Union Tour. They will be performing alongside Canadian duo Cherry Suede.
Before the tour begins in Glasgow tonight (April 13th), we were treated to a warm up show in Leeds on Friday April 6th. Stewart was there without band mate Dean for the warm up as Dean had just finished touring alongside Sarah Darling.
Stewart performed many of the songs we all know and love, including ‘Finding my way home’ which is, in his words, ‘our country song’. Stewart also performed a new song he has written specifically for this tour.
Randy Scott from Cherry Suede joined Stewart on stage for his song ‘Everything I Am’, giving us all a good giggle when he tried to record their performance on stage and Stewart points out that Randy hadn’t hit the record button!
The State of the Union Tour kicks off tonight with an acoustic show in Glasgow, with a full band show tomorrow night also in Glasgow.
The guys will be in Birmingham and Manchester in May with acoustic and full band shows in each city, then London in June.
