The Songs & Stories Collective release Lori McKenna's HUMBLE & KIND via free download on 26th July

Sunday at 3pm The Songs & Stories Collective have played a series of online gigs.

Each week has been themed and as the online series continued, the series

grew into voting from the audience and special guests.

The Songs & Stories Collective are:-

Tennessee Twin

Tennessee Twin are an acoustic modern country duo from Cambridge, UK. Their songs blend memorable melodies, gritty yet thoughtful lyrics and delicious harmonies and have won them a no.1 selling EP and multiple awards in the country music scene.

Donna Marie Songs

Donna Marie, a singer-songwriter & music producer hailing from the North-West of England in a town calledWarrington. Her songwriting style mixes musical genres that have inspired her as

a musician. Deeply routed in ‘story telling’ and melodies that stick with you. Donna has been touring with hit theatre show 'A Country night in Nashville'.

Sarah Yeo

Sarah Yeo is a Singer/Songwriter from Devon. Likened to Karen Carpenter, Mary Chapin Carpenter & Miranda Lambert, her music has taken her over to NYC and California, where Sarah’s brand of UK Country was very enthusiastically received. Sarah’s three studio albums so far have enjoyed BBC airplay and amazing four star reviews by leading magazine critics. The legendary Jim Marshall once described Sarah as being his favourite singer!

Victoria, Geoff, Sarah & Donna-Marie are "The Songs & Stories Collective".

They admire each other musically & decided to collaborate for a series of 'lockdown gigs'. Performing cover songs & self penned songs while talking about what inspires them.

Humble & Kind

"Humble and Kind" is a song written by Lori McKenna and first released by American country music singer Tim McGraw on January 20, 2016, McKenna later recorded her rendition of the song for her eighth studio album, The Bird and the Rifle, released in July 2016.

The song won the award for

"Best Country Song" at the 59th Annual Grammy Awards

"Video of the Year" at the 2016 CMT Music Awards

"Song of the Year" at 2016 CMA Awards

"Country Song of the Year" at 2016 American Music Awards

It has been certified platinum and reached the number one position on the country music charts in both Canada and the United States.


During the online sessions a COVER song and an ORIGINAL song is performed by each of the collective artists. Humble & Kind was a song that everyone loved, it seemed appropriate

during the very uncertain times of lockdown.

The song was recorded remotely during week 4 & 5 of the

lockdown sessions.

Sarah Yeo performed vocals and acoustic guitar,

Tennessee Twin provided electric guitar, keyboard and vocals

Donna Marie programmed drums, played bass, acoustic guitar and vocals.

TS&SC are taking a break from online gigs but will be back.

They have also been writing and recording original music together.
