News: Hicktown Breakout release brand new EP, 'Lost Myself'

Hicktown Breakout are a Bristol-based five-piece country rock band who pride themselves on creating an original and unique sound that encompases an upbeat rocky edge and their passion for Country and Americana. The bands self-titled Debut EP reached #36 in the all-genre UK Album Chart and has subsequently led to band appearances with BBC Radio & BBC Live Lounge in addition to radio support across Australia, mainland Europe and the USA.

The band were nominated for UK Country Group of the Year 2020 and placed 3rd in the Radio WigWam award for ‘Best Country’ act. The lead single ‘Get Your Boots On’ has already gained over 8,000 streams on Spotify & the band aim to build on this with their EP release.

The title track ‘Lost Myself’ “is written about a guy who is re-evaluating his life after a major breakup”. Lyrically and musically, the track maintains a light-hearted and upbeat feel about love and expresses the positive side of ending a bad relationship and moving on.

“We want to show the bands ‘fun and serious’ side with this EP, bringing together a mix of beer fuelled floor fillers and thought-provoking ballads.”

“Inspired by our own personal life stories, this new EP takes the listener on a rollercoaster ride of life’s journey that everyone can relate to.”
