This track tells the story about a girl who is struggling with self- confidence. It explains about being five years on and still running from her fears; she only smiles when the sun shines (when life is going well). It speaks of her having issues with trusting others.
The song starts off with a simple electric guitar intro before Lauren’s vocals gently ease into the song before the chorus springs to life. Dan’s vocals flow effortlessly over the lyrics and perfectly compliment Lauren’s.
They alternate with the vocals telling the story of the girls’ struggles. They are keen for her to seek help but she lacks the confidence. You can sense the frustration Lauren & Dan feel in the lyrics they use for the track. Brilliantly written!
