'Tennessee Twin' Straight In At No.1

Cambridge based modern country duo 'Tennessee Twin' have gone straight in at No.1 on the iTunes UK Country Chart with their debut EP 'Tips In A Jar'.

The highly anticipated EP, featuring five self-penned original songs, launched on Friday 9th of July. Available on all major music platforms, it immediately took the no.1 spot on the iTunes UK Country Chart on the day of its release.

Tennessee Twin hail from Cambridge, UK and are Geoff Meads and Victoria Mills. The pair won the Nashville Music City / BA song-writing competition in March 2018 with their single 'Wings Of Red, White & Blue'. They’ve since been writing, recording and gigging regularly including appearances at Cambridge Folk Festival and Corn On The Cob #9.

Speaking about their chart success they said “Reaching no.1 is a dream for any musician and we were more than a little shocked to grab the top position in the Country Chart on Friday! It’s a humbling experience and we’d like to say a massive thank you to everyone who has come along to see us, listened to our music and bought our songs.”

'Tips In A Jar' features songs with catchy melodies, thoughtful yet witty lyrics and rich harmonies. The pair are not afraid to draw on personal experience when writing lyrics and this is self-evident from early reviews:

“Every word, every phrase, every syllable - stunning. Absolutely stunning.’”– Keren Morrall, Forever British Country

“A real work of art!” – Simon Birds, The UK Country Showcase

The EP ‘Tips In A Jar’ is available now on Spotify, Amazon, Google Play Store plus other music platforms. The full CD release is available from the Tennessee Twin website and from live shows.
