Sam Coe - Redefining British Country Music
Ready to start a new British Country Music scene that draws upon, rather than tries to replicate, the American scene we know and love, Sam Coe wants to embrace being an unashamed British artist, and bring some sincerity and soul to the UK industry. Raw, gritty and honest - Sam’s debut solo single Hard Time went straight into the iTunes Country Chart at Number 2. The debut album, Comeback Queen is available from iTunes, Spotify and all good streaming services from 28th November 2019.
The singer-songwriter, who also plays with her band The Long Shadows, has spent time in the Top 5 of the iTunes Country Chart and been nominated for a British Country Music Award (BCMA). With this new album, Sam sheds a different light on the musty, tinged world of traditional country.
"Sam Coe's solo album 'Comeback Queen' takes you on a musical voyage exploring a variety of musical influences including hints of 60's psychedelia blended with gritty traditional country which showcases Sam's haunting vocal to perfection." - Keren Morrall, Forever British Country.
‘Blown away, I thought it was genius, like nothing I have ever heard before. Bloody hell. Mind blown.’ - Dave Watkins
‘I think you might have just killed the pretty cowgirl’ - Rudie Hayes (Creative Director at Jorvic Radio, Presenter at Horseshoe Lounge Radio Show, Staff Writer for FATEA, Former Interviews Editor for Americana UK)
‘It’s stunning...the best album I’ve heard all year. So heartfelt, so perfect, it’s a work of genius!’ - Simon Birds, Redroad FM.
British Country artist, Sam Coe, who is current redefining the UK Scene, is celebrating stepping out on her own with the announcement of her debut solo album. Influenced by the sound of throw-back instrumentation like the Fender Rhodes, the new record is heavily piano driven, while combining tremolo guitars, hammond organ and her beloved Gibson with an emotional and raw vocal. The official album launch will be held at Epic Studios, in her hometown of Norwich, on Thursday 28th November, with support from The Fatherline (fronted by Wandering Hearts founder Tim Prottey-Jones), Ags Connelly and Breeze Redwine. Tickets are available now.
