Starting off with the sounds from a warehouse this song gradually picks up momentum by halfway through the first verse. Phoenix has a really lovely tone to his voice and there is just enough echo on this recording to make you feel that he is standing in that warehouse.
Through this song he describes some of the things that are associated with an average working day. The words tell the story of putting his dreams aside to work hard so that he can support his family. Yet he feels that the government take more than their fair share in taxes. So he resigns himself to the fact that working will always be what he does and that his dreams will be permanently on hold.
It's a thought provoking song and one I instantly connected with. It is available to download on all social platforms on 1st October 2019.
