Emily Faye for me is one of the most beautiful and inspiring shining lights of the UK country scene, I was introduced to Emily's music back in December 2018, and from then on Emily's music has been tangled in my heart.
On May 29th Emily Faye will release for me one the most beautiful song's of the year in 'Fearless'. I first heard 'Fearless' in the City of Norwich back in November, and from that moment I knew this song was going to be something special.
The story behind 'Fearless' is what reaches me the most, how this courageous and very energetic person was afraid to release a song that exposed her vulnerabilities, 'Fearless' is a representation of what people face every day, having those fears and thoughts that keeps our inner self from escaping. The lyrics of fearless so beautifully written by Emily & Sue McMillan, I believe Emily is 'Fearless'. Every time she takes to the stage and shares her stories and experiences, that for me shows, courage and bravery which I find so inspiring.
The lyric that reaches me the most in Fearless is; "I'll say that I'm fine, when I'm not really fine, and if I'm being honest that's most of the time". This lyric reaches me the most because there are so many people out there that say they're fine when really they're not. I know that because I have those thought's everyday. Emily showcases 'Fearless' that it's okay, to be who you are, and you shouldn't be someone different because you're being compared to someone else. Fears and doubts is something I think we all have to grow through.
The production of 'Fearless' sounds incredible and truly magical, I can just picture the scene, someone is driving along the coast as this song plays out on the radio, the sun shining and the fears just disappearing into the sea air and then the smile just beaming because we know that fear is in everyone.
'FEARLESS'.... IS ABOUT BEING BRAVE, BEING CONFIDENT, AND NOT BEING AFRAID TO STAND UP AND FIGHT FOR WHAT YOU BELIEVE IN WHATEVER THAT MAY BE...
