The eagerly anticipated single ‘Hail Mary’ from UK based, Australian country singer.
Since relocating from Australia in 2006, Kieran Lancini has called the UK his home, and very much thought his music career was a thing of the past.
“It wasn’t until I went back to Australia for the Star Maker 40th Anniversary show in Tamworth in 2019, that the performer was well and truly awoken in me. I was absolutely terrified as it had been years since I was on stage and in front of a live audience and band. It was then that I decided to dip my toe back in and get something out there again.”
The songwriter released two tracks in 2020, the first in 18 years and has gained major traction in the UK and abroad. ‘The Reason’ reached #2 in the UK and #15 in the Australian iTunes Country Chart, whilst ‘I Need You’ reached #7 in the UK iTunes Chart and #9 on Australian Country Radio. The former Australian Star Maker Winner sets up to release his first single of 2021. The track co-written with Nashville based Australian songwriter, Phil Barton, who has had a No. 1 US hit with ‘A Woman Like You’ (Lee Brice), was written during the pandemic during some dark days for the singer.
Speaking of ‘Hail Mary’, Kieran says “I, like everyone else, was feeling quite low during the pandemic with the daily deaths rising, feeling completely helpless. I found myself trying to make sense of it all - searching really quite deep in myself to remain positive and see that light at the end of the tunnel. This is what this song is about - hope - and finding that inner strength which i call a ‘miracle’ to make it through and not being afraid to shout out to the universe that you need a bit of help”.
‘Hail Mary’ is available to pre-order and pre-save.
Release: Thursday 8th April.
