Music Review: Tim Prottey-Jones - Good Life

Tim Prottey-Jones, founding member of Decca/Universal UK recording artists The Wandering Hearts, received his Opry debut in 2018 in a bucket-list trip to America and has toured the UK extensively, supporting such iconic artists as Tom Petty, Stevie Nicks, Eric Clapton in a string of Hyde Park shows.

Since leaving the band in 2019, Tim has been laying down the concrete foundations for a solo career, writing and recording a handful of sparkling modern country tracks, with his debut single, “Bite the Bullet” receiving its exclusive first play on The Country Music Show with Bob Harris on BBC Radio 2 in November 2020. You can read our review of 'Bite the Bullet' here.

Tim's brand new single 'Good Life' is a track about morals: "Combating greed, jealousy and anger by appreciating what you already have & loving the little things that make you smile."

An upbeat and punchy number that provides a stream of positivity even before the lyrical content and Tim's vocals are introduced. The song first tackles concepts such as cyber bulling, that are all too familiar in today's society, before challenging the listener to consider the most important aspects of life - to choose to be kind and appreciate those things that make life better. There are plenty of things in life that make us feel better in the moment, but, does it really make your life better?

"People will never forget how you made them feel"

A commercial modern country track with polished production that would sit with ease amongst the record label recording artists on any editorial playlist. Available everywhere from 5th February.
