UK based country singer-songwriter Biddy Ronelle and the multi-talented, hit writing singer songwriter David Luke have teamed up to create an emotionally charged anthem of a charity single ‘Let The Music Play’ which is due to be released on the 28th August 2020. The single is released in association with the charity Help Musicians. All sales of the single will go direct to the charity.
Country music fans will hopefully know Biddy thanks to her startling #1 debut EP ‘Aftershocks’ and her two top 10 singles ‘Raising Hell’ and ‘Run’, making her mark on the scene through 2019 and 2020. Perhaps a new name to the UK country scene is David Luke, who’s debut album ‘Stop The World’ was released last year to critical acclaim reaching the top 10 of the singer-songwriter charts. David has spent 10 years as a singer-songwriter. Himself and Biddy have previously written together and performed together in various stage shows and are excited for the world to hear their joint songwriting and vocal efforts in this release.
‘Let The Music Play’ is a love letter to an industry that has been hit hard during the pandemic and speaks to everyone who works in the music and arts industry. It’s a duet in every sense of the word with Biddy telling the story of a theatre performer and David telling the story of a venue owner. It’s a song that many in the industry can relate to and support.
The official video to accompany the song will feature over one hundred members of the performing arts industry who have been kind enough to send in images and videos of them performing on stage. Definitely something to keep an eye out for! The single has already had fantastic support from BBC Introducing East Midlands and regional BBC rotation which the team are super grateful for.
‘Let The Music Play’ is released on 28th August 2020 and is available to pre-order from the 14th August 2020.
