UK Country Group of the Year Finalists Hicktown Breakout are a Bristol-based five piece that pride themselves on creating original country influenced modern music with an upbeat, rocky edge coupled with engaging vocals.

In November 2019, the band released their self-titled Debut EP which reached #36 in the UK all-genre Album Charts and #3 in the Country Chart. In 2021, Hicktown Breakout released their follow-up EP titled 'Lost Myself' which again achieved high charting positions in the UK and Europe... Feedback from fans over the last two years has been amazing.

As restrictions are lifted and a new year continues to grow, the band are busy writing and recording their debut Album and are planning their first UK tour! First up in what is sure to be a big year, is the release of their new single ‘Born to be Free’.

‘Born to be Free’ is the story of a guy desperate to keep the girl of his dreams. Unfortunately, he also knows that it is never going to last and it’s only going to end badly for him: she is a free spirit, and nothing he can say or do will ever change this.

Fueled by country-rock rhythm guitars and the soul-filled emotive vocals, this track is sure to hit you right where it hurts. Ever feel like you've tried everything possible to make something work but, deep down you know it just isn't meant to be? This one's for you!
