First Thoughts Review: 'Until I Do' - Tim Prottey-Jones feat. Stephanie Quayle

For Fans Of: Lady A, Lee Brice, Carly Pearce & Luke Combs

Hot on the heels of ‘Good Life’, comes Tim Prottey-Jones’ brand new single, ‘Until I Do’, featuring CMT’s “Next Women of Country” inductee, Stephanie Quayle. Penned by top Nashville songwriter Jeff, alongside Grammy nominated Jamie Floyd & Steven McMorran, the heartfelt lyrics describe a feeling of longing for a future love.

You can always rely on Tim to record songs with a lyrical content that is meaningful, relatable and authentic - 'Until I Do' is no exception.

“For me, the song paints a picture of a search for a love that may never be realised. But what is worse? Searching and never finding that special person or not even trying to find the one? There’s a hope to the lyrics that I believe will speak to the listener as it did with me. It’s that voice in your head that says, “if you don’t try, you’ll never know” and sometimes, that’s exactly what we need to hear. As people, as musicians, as lovers.” - Tim Prottey-Jones

The introduction is a flawless combination of Tim's solo vocals and ambient instrumentation, which perfectly capture the passion and sentiment behind the song. Jeff comments that "Tim and Stephanie are the perfect voices to bring this song into the world. They really capture the emotion we were hoping for when we wrote it”.

Stephanie's vocals [particularly the harmonies within the choruses] add a deeper layer to the song and hugely complements Tim's vocals - it provides a beautiful combination between the UK and US country music scene that will definitely be accepted on both sides of the pond. An authentic country music duet which remains lyrically rooted in the traditional nature of the genre with great modern production.
