The Waterboys originally released 'How Long Will I Love You' in the 90's. This beautiful song has since been covered by Ellie Goulding but I definitely like this latest 'countryfied' version by Simon Casey the best.
Beautiful piano with underlying violins and Simon's crystal clear vocal just works on every level. It isn't long before it is joined by cello for a bit of depth. The song builds slightly just before an organ instrumental before falling away again to one note on the piano to finish with. It makes the listener listen intently, almost holding their breath, to every single note as its played. Absolutely stunning.
