First Thoughts Review: 'Finest Ramshackle Jam' - Thirteen Stars

If you like Southern Rock that dips into grunge and takes influences from a whole handful of other genre's including Country and Bluegrass, then tighten your seat belts because Thirteen Stars latest album 'Finest Ramshackle Jam' has a fantastic, total value for money, 15 tracks that will take you on a foot stomping, no holds barred musical journey.

Lead singer and founder member of Thirteen Stars Hoss Thompson's gritty husky vocal is the perfect voice for delivering this style of song.

I am not going to mention each song individually but just touch on a couple that sound somewhat different from the rest of this stunning album. 'Be There In The Morning' is a track that puts me in mind of the 1960's with its guitar riff and harmonies, 'Rebel' has definitely been heavily influenced by 70's soul music and 'Soldier' has an opening guitar sequence that takes me back to the wild west as it makes me think of Jon Bon Jovi's 'Blaze Of Glory' album, however when this song is going full pelt it takes on a life of its own.
