First Thoughts Review: 'Big Man Small Town' EP by Alan Finlan

I have been a friend and supporter of Alan Finlan since long before he plucked up the courage and decided to sing and perform his own brand of country music.

Teaming up with country songwriter Stephen Manley has seen the fruition of Alan's hopes and dreams of one day releasing his own music and propelled him forward into the British country music scene fairly rapidly. In his first real year as an artist he has already been nominated for 2 BCMA awards for male vocalist and horizon artist of the year.

Alan is a big man, with a big voice. His debut EP 'Big Man Small Town' (the small town referring to Lee-on-the-Solent in rural Hampshire), has an authentic country sound. A collection of country rock songs and a beautiful duet with Emma Jade makes this an EP worth grabbing with both hands.

Little stories about Alan's life put to music and if you know Alan as I do you can relate many of these stories to an occasion or two.
