Chromedomes Lockdown Lookback. #6

Well its that time of the week again, I think. Time to look back over last weeks livestreams both from home and abroad. This week’s lookback will not be as long as usual as I have been experiencing a few Wi-Fi problems this week.

As there has been over the last few weeks there were some brilliant gigs and performances and streamed from many sources. Hope Its Country came up with some crackers with FINOLA, Reya Jayne, Rhiannon Kira Hill and Stevie Daniels.

Live in the Living Room had two days of great gigs and although one or two had a few technical difficulties the weekend seemed to be a great success with acts such as Kelsey Bovey, Scott Nicholls, Sandy McLelland, Giorgia Barker, Tommy Taylor, Ad Spina, Tennessee Twin and Gasoline & Matches to name a few.

Lock Down Buddies had a gig set from Jade Helliwell and Luke Thomas who served up their great music along with a bit of banter and they certainly kept us entertained as they do on their normal Thursday night gig. Kira Mac again gave a great set during the week and also treated us to a wee bit of sponge (her hedgehog).

Emilia Quinn’s Bare Faced Friday had a new name for me with Jody from The Fargo Railroad Co, and SJ Morgan of Morganway and the music was 1st class as expected. This week also saw Emilia release her latest single 'Mistakes'. Scott Ashworth, Elaine Lennon and many more also did livestreams through the week and were superb as usual.

Friday night also saw the latest edition of Kezia Gills 'Pour Me A Strong One Session' and as I have said over the last few weeks “What can she not sing”. Kezia was kind enough to give me a wee mention on the stream and I thank her for that. Also loving the Friday morning dances and the wee sketches prior to the livestream starting.

Overseas acts have again been supplying some great streams with SaraBeth Swagerty and Glen Mitchell from Royal South showed how we over here have taken them to our hearts with their extended session so that they could fit in as many requests as they could. Southern Halo again did a couple of streams and although now a duo instead of a trio they still sound great.

Lauren Alaina was very busy doing interviews one after the other but still managed to fit in a song or two along with her guitarist Tico.

Although these are not livestreams Tommy Ash has been producing some great music with her old-style classics.

Saturday night was my overseas favourite gig of lockdown so far with the incredible Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood from the stage of The Opry.

Until next week Stay Safe, Stay Home and Keep Listening and supporting our great musicians.
