Artist Spotlight - Sarah Louise
Sarah Louise was born with music in her heart and has spent the last 20 years honing her musical skills in all capacities. Whether a classic or one of her original songs Sarah’s angelic vocals are always a pleasure to listen to, and her talented guitarist Steve Miller works alongside her, providing outstanding harmonies, and subsequent elaborate and exquisite live performances. Her love of all things country is infectious and her talent saw her nominated for British Country Music Awards Female Vocalist of the Year 2021.

Like many, throughout the pandemic, Sarah has been creating new songs online and it is through this, that her 3-track release ‘Sunflower’ came to fruition. A 28-day songwriting challenge included writing about ‘something in nature’, by which one of her fans suggested the topic of a ‘sunflower’. “This song is about finding your inner confidence and letting it grow freely”. This release realises the importance of self affirmations and self love - if we don’t believe it how can anyone else? After sharing these with her audiences, she found that others could relate and that people needed a lift; to be able to look in the mirror and be kind to themselves.
With every purchase of the recently released Sunflower - EP, you can also obtain a free download of Sarah's brand new single ‘Purple Flowers’.

During early 2021, Sarah conducted a competition to which the lucky few would win a songwriting experience on Valentines Day. Sarah’s friend Amber won the prize draw, and since it wasn’t too far from the marriage of Amber to her soul mate, Sarah asked them to send a list of things that they love about each other.
“Amber said to me she already had a list… with 34 reasons to love each other. I thought this was really cute and this is how the song began.”
“Amber and Gav loved it and said they would really like me to sing it at their wedding. I was touched!”
Preparing for the wedding, Sarah and her producer, Mark Wickenden, created an acoustic backing track using Piano for the performance. Unfortunately, due to covid, Sarah was unable to perform… but, “They decided to use the recording as their first dance and sent me a video recording of them both dancing to it and it made me happy and sad at the same time.”
I really wanted to publish it a year later to make the memory of their first year together more special… and so here it is!
