Review: 'Shifting Sands' by Nick Ward

South Wales based Nick Ward describes his songs as "thoughtful picture-postcards of life, love and longing which veer between choppy, electric guitar-fuelled pop to stirring acoustic-backed vocal harmonies".

Country tinged 'Shifting Sands is no exception. It tells of the loneliness you feel after a relationship breaks up. It starts with an acoustic guitar strumming gently just before the first electric guitar riff and the introduction of drums. I instantly liked this mid tempo song with its rocky sounding outro and the nice warm tone of Nick's voice.
