BCA - British Country Airplay

British Country Airplay’s Artist of the Year Nominations are Now Open.

About Us

Founded in August 2018, The British Country Airplay (BCA) aims…

...to help promote the UK Country Music scene.

Steve and Susanne Taggart came up with the idea of the BCA, and were encouraged to go ahead with the project by Karl Hancock, the co-founder of Manchester’s Buckle and Boots Festival.

Steve Taggart also hosts his own country music show, (Steve’s Country Road).

Our main aim is to help British Country artistes gain more exposure through varied promotions and airplay from a body of presenters, broadcasting all over the world.

We decided to continue our aim promoting British Country Artistes, by honouring them with the chance to win a BCA ‘Artiste of the Year’ award, which will always be chosen by the people who support Country music, here in the UK. This award is in association with Buckle and Boots, and our first recipient was Emily Lockett.

But who will be this year’s Artist Of The Year?

We are inviting people to send in their nominations via our website at

However please note that you may only fill out one ballot per email address; additional ballots will be discarded.

The closing date is September 30th, whereas we will then collate all the entries and shortlist the Top 5 in October for the fans to vote on.

So Don't Let Your Favourite Miss Out!
