Our International Jam Session from The Cabin at Buckle & Boots

Our experience at Buckle & Boots this year was a fabulous one as it always is but the highlight for me came almost at the end of the festival.

Ian had had an idea on that sunday morning about getting one of our artists to possibly do a duet with an American artist so that we could film it and bring you a different kind of acoustic session. After kicking the idea round for most of the day my son Oliver Hopkins decided to take the bull by the horns and do something about it.

He was on speaking terms with the American and Australian artists as he had picked them up from the airport or train station so he approached their managers with the idea.

Unfortunately Australian artists Adam Eckersley & Brooke McClymont had to leave as they wanted to get settled into an airport hotel as they had a very early flight the following morning (we will catch you next time) but Americans William Michael Morgan and Lewis Brice were totally up for it.

We went into the cabin to arrange the room and set up our camera's. As soon as William Michael Morgan left his meet and greet our session could begin. MHMG artists Alan Finlan, Emma Jade Garbutt and Stevie O'Connor were joined by Oliver Hopkins who played cajon for everyone and of course Lewis Brice.

They sang a song each and shared guitars. Some were covers and some originals and one, brand new, never before heard, original from Stevie O'Connor. Then at the end they all chose a song to sing together. I was quite emotional on the night and it really was magical.

We hope you enjoy our International Jam Session.
