The Country Club Festival at Rango's

On a rare, sunny bank holiday Monday, Cinder Hill hosted their first Country club festival at Rango’s in Winsford.

The Country club nights have been every third Saturday of the month since November at Rango’s, hosted by Cinder Hill and featuring usually 2 other country acts.

The country club festival was held outside of Rango’s in their garden area, with a BBQ being hosted by the restaurant.

First up as we arrived were Cinder Hill, performing songs from their EP as well as a Dixie chicks cover and a Miley Cyrus cover.

Next up was Emily Lockett. Emily performed her own songs and seems to definitely have her own fan base starting.

Gasoline and Matches were up next, singing songs from their EP, including their popular drinking song ‘Never Have I Ever’, inviting everyone to grab a drink and join in with the song.

We then had Backwoods Creek, who certainly had the crowd up and moving, performing favourites of their songs from their Ep’s.

Then we had Izzie Walsh and her band, who joined the Buckle & Boots tour in Australia earlier this year. Izzie and her band played their own songs, as well as a cover from Johnny Cash, which suits Izzie’s voice and style so well.

Next up was Stevie O’Connor. He performed his own songs, including the beautiful song ‘Willow’ which he dedicated to his Uncle who had recently passed.

This is Emma Jade Garbutt.

Unfortunately we missed the final 2 acts, Blue Genes and The Angels with Dirty faces as we had to head home, but from Facebook live videos, it looks like they kept the party going.

The Country Club nights are a lovely evening & the festival was really well done, very busy with country fans and locals that had popped down to see the entertainment.
