This was my first time attending this event. It initially started as a songwriters round with Cal Ruddy and Maria Jordan this lasted about 30 minutes and consisted of the 2 artist singing self penned songs and telling the stories behind them.
After a short break it was time for Maria to return with a full band. This set lasted about 100 minutes and was a covers set of modern country classics from the likes of Maren Morris, Kasey Musgraves, Little Big Town with a few from the archives from the likes of Hank Williams ,Tammy Wynette and Dolly Parton.
The audiences really loved the full spectrum of songs chosen and sang along to all. As an added bonus the bar brought a tray of whiskey shots out for a free sample.
All in all a great night entertainment. If you love a drink and a night of singing classic country songs this is for you. Personally I am looking forward to the next event.
