The Wandering Hearts Review 24.2.18

Tonights gig was at the Ruby Lounge in Manchester. There was a decent crowd of maybe 200 people.

The support act was a singer songwriter from the south west of England going by the name of William the Conquero. He played a 30 minute set of self penned songs accompanied only by his guitar. The only disappointment was a substantial part of the audience tried their best to drown him out.

Then came the main act. The Wandering hearts are a 5 piece acoustic unit. They had quite a folkie sound. To my relief the audience was now much quieter during their set.

Their harmonies were quite brilliant, and in the middle of the set they went unplugged, all moving away from the mics and amps to the front of the stage to sing one song.

Their set only lasted about 55 minutes including the encore.
